This retention pond was over grown with cattails and full of muck.

These cat tails can easily be removed with an excavator.

This area where a small amount of water is flowing is actually inside the pond and at one time was all open water.

There is about 2 foot of sediment buildup that we will remove.

You can see where the excavator has crossed in to the pond from the road. We use wood planks to drive
on to prevent damage.

This pond has a hard bottom that we can drive on. Some ponds have to be dug from the sides because
there is no bottom in the pond.

We are ruining pumps the entire time we are digging, the water table is so high we can not fight off all the water.

All the material from the pond will go into a berm on th far side of pond.

We pulled the sprinkler lines out to save them, they can then be placed back in when final grade is complete.

The sludge that came out of this pond was very wet. It will need some time to dry out.

A mix of this rich muck and some sand should make for good grass.
